5. Now a Radical Reconstruction of Scottish Football is Inevitable
Whether it be a 14 or 16 team SPL, disbandment of the SPL altogether and union with the SFL and SFA, a three league pyramid structure and some kind of other redistribution of how the money is distributed in Scottish Football one thing is sure; Scottish Football changed forever this summer. Reality hit home and it was very nasty for some who would have preferred to ignore it. Not just Rangers were living beyond their means. Other SPL clubs had become lazy and expectant of easy income from visiting Glasgow giants, playing in a league were the term title challenge was a bad joke. Reality is sometimes harsh, but it is better to live in the real world. And for those who care, the real world in Scottish Football kicks off on 4th August.
