Spurs Best Overseas XI Of The Premier League Era

8. Centre Back: Younes Kaboul

Younes Kaboul has actually had two spells with Spurs and the first was quite disappointing. Having originally signed from Auxerre for around £8 million in 2007, he joined Portsmouth for £6 million in 2008. In 2010, after having emerged as a genuinely good Premier League talent following a series of impressive performances for Pompey, Spurs re-signed the Frenchman for an undisclosed fee and he has been one of their stand-out centre backs ever since. Kaboul has made 102 Premier League appearances in total for Spurs, as well as 26 in other competitions, and has emerged as one of the Premier League€™s top performing defenders. Having missed most of the 2012-2013 season due to injury, he has suffered something of a decline in form but he is now back to full fitness and will compete with the likes of Federico Fazio and Vlad Chiriches for a place alongside Jan Vertonghen is Spurs' first team.
