Of course, one of the biggest deals that Spurs could negotiate this summer is the acquiring of a new manager - what with Tim Sherwood apparently on the way out - and it seems like Frank de Boer is the top choice amongst fans and with the club itself. The former Dutch international defender is currently the manager of Ajax Amsterdam - one of his former clubs - and he has led them to four domestic league titles since taking over the club just four years ago. Having previously been assistant manager of the Dutch national team, his "total football" credentials will excite Spurs fans, who are used to seeing their team play an exciting and attractive game. De Boer's strong association with Ajax means he is very familiar with players like Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen, as well as other Spurs players who have played in the Dutch league like Mousa Dembele and Nacer Chadli, and he would be expected to look back at his former club for further signings (with the likes of Daley Blind linked with a move to Spurs should de Boer join the club, as well as coaching staff Jaap Stam and Dennis Bergkamp - who would cause a lot of controversy if he joined the white side of North London).
