Spurs Transfers: 10 Mega-Deals Touted For This Summer

10. Paulinho To Chelsea

Apart from Christian Eriksen, who has been Spurs' best player this season, Paulinho has been the only signing from last summer who can even be remotely considered a success. The 25 year old Brazilian international midfielder signed from Corinthians for a fee of around £17 million and has been a mainstay in the Spurs team when he has been fit. However, it has recently been rumoured that he will be the subject of a bid from Chelsea this summer and it has even been suggested that he has already agreed to join Spurs' London neighbours. A fee of at least £20 million has been touted, which Spurs will try to bump up, and the North Londoners will consider that a great deal for a player who, while he has performed reasonably, hasn't exactly set White Hart Lane alight since arriving. He has recently been called up to the Brazil squad for the World Cup in his home nation and any deal will likely be finalised when he arrives back in England after it finishes. Spurs will be hoping he performs well if they are intending to sell him, given that it will likely push his price up even further.
