Spurs Transfers: 10 Mega-Deals Touted For This Summer

9. Javier Pastore To Spurs

In order to balance the books and not fall victim to UEFA financial fair play rules, Paris St. Germain need to have something of a clear-out this summer - and that could lead to Spurs landing a man they have long been linked with. Argentinian attacking midfielder Javier Pastore could be available for as little as £18 million this summer, having been signed three years ago from Palermo for double that amount, and that could be a fee low enough to tempt the White Hart Lane club to make a bid. Pastore is 24 years old and a more established player at international level than his Spurs counterpart Erik Lamela and his signature could be used to both improve the team and help to nurture the young former Roma player. Whether or not Spurs could afford the wages of a player from Quatar-owned PSG - and whether or not he'd be interested in playing Europa League football (at best) - is open to debate, but he'd surely be considered a real coup for the Lilywhites.
