5. Younes Kaboul
It's easy to sympathise with Younes Kaboul. Over the last 18 months the Frenchman has been blighted by a series of injuries, starting with a serious knee injury sustained against Newcastle in August 2012 that sidelined him for eight months. He then tore a thigh muscle in an under-21 game against Manchester United that further hindered his return, and didn't play again until August this year, coming on as a substitute against Crystal Palace on the opening day of the season for a four-minute cameo. A thigh injury has curtailed the defender's return from injury since then, and Kaboul's lengthy spells out of the side have seen him fall out of favour with Michael Dawson, Jan Vertonghen and Vlad Chiriches all ahead of him in the proverbial pecking order at White Hart Lane. Andre Villas-Boas recently said
he hoped the centre-back's injury woes were behind him, but at 27, you have to wonder if the former Portsmouth man will ever put together enough consistency to rediscover old form - he looked completely exposed when paired alongside Dawson in his one and only start of the season so far in the 6-0 defeat to Man City last month. AC Milan are
reportedly interested in taking him of Tottenham's hands, and a January exit would not come as a surprise.
