Spurs vs Chelsea: 5 Greatest London Derbies

4. 2011 - Chelsea 3 Arsenal 5

This game had absolutely everything a neutral could ask for in a game. Arsenal were inspired on the day by a Robin Van Persie hat-trick which silenced the Chelsea fans into submission and lifted our stock a little when results against Chelsea had been hard to come by in recent years. It was also thrilling as the match took place at Stamford Bridge a week after a shock loss to QPR (in the midst of the race case against John Terry). The pressure seemed to get to the England veteran as a costly mistake by him gifted Arsenal the lead at 4-3 and RVP's 2nd of the game. I've included this match not just for its entertainment factor and the chance to see John Terry mugged on the pitch, but because this win came at a time when Arsenal were really being questioned about their credentials at a serious force in the league. Sure we lost Robin in the following summer but the 5-3 win made it eight wins in nine for an Arsenal team very much under the spotlight.
