Now I've included this match for several important but not immediately obvious reasons. It is unfortunate that most of the greatest derbies that have occurred have featured Arsenal and without wanting to appear biased I've made a point of featuring a game without them. This game and Spurs' defeat has had a massive impact not only on last season, but also the one taking place right now. Had Tottenham won this game it may well have generated necessary momentum (and points) for them to snatch 4th place off Arsenal, possibly affecting the calibre of player they could have bought with their £90 million spending spree. Or possibly, Mr Bale may have stuck around another year...
