Swansea City: 5 Options To Be The Swans' Next Permanent Manager

2. Lee Clark (Birmingham City)

Lee Clark as emerged as a surprising second favourite for the job with a 10/1 chance of being Swansea€™s next manager. In many ways I€™m happy to see his name mentioned because he is someone that I have an awful lot of time for. I thought that he did a very good job at Huddersfield and was unlucky to lose his job. Clark is still only 41, and rightfully should be considered as one of the brightest young managers around. The job he has at Birmingham is a very tough one under extremely difficult circumstances behind the scenes. Therefore, I would think that he would jump at the chance of moving to the Premier League should that opportunity open up. The Blues are currently 18th in the Championship, and some people may feel that isn€™t very impressive. However, it€™s important to keep in mind that the real job he has is to keep them in the league, and that is something that he is comfortably achieving. Evidence of Clark€™s ability as a manager came when he was in charge of Huddersfield with a win percentage of 48.88%, I€™m sure Swansea would be very pleased with that kind of ratio.
