When times are getting tough at your club and transfers aren€™t going the way you€™d quite like managers often turn their heads to younger players from the Premier League, sometime on a permanent deal but more often than not on a loan deal. When these players arrive we are always told, without doubt that the player we are signing is the next big thing. That in his 4 minute appearance in last year's Carling Cup game against Morecambe he blew everyone€™s minds so much that you€™ve not bothered even starting him on the bench since. Occasionally these players turn out to be excellent and can really pay off. Nine times out of ten however, they are sent back to their parent club without having made any sort of impression whatsoever.
