UFC Champ Jon Jones Arrested: 7 Things You Should Know
6. Exactly What Happened?
According to the police report, Jones made an illegal turn which led to a three car crash Sunday Morning in Albuquerque, New Mexico. That involved running a red light. One of the cars his vehicle struck was driven by a pregnant women, who was later taken to hospital (she declined an initial offer to be transported to hospital, per the report) suffering "minor injuries" - which turned out to include a broken arm. If that's where the story ended, this incident might not have left such a dark cloud over the career of Jon Jones. However, Jones failed to remain at the scene of the accident, failed to check on the well-being of the other drivers involved, and simply fled. Failure to remain at the scene of the accident is only one of the charges Jones will likely be facing, however.
