UFC Champ Jon Jones Arrested: 7 Things You Should Know
5. Drugs Were Found In Jones' Vehicle
initial reports attributed to Twitter personalities FrontRowBrian and BloodStainLane suggested that cocaine had been found in Jones' vehicle. However, those reports turned out to be false, were denied by Albuquerque PD, and were most likely assumptions based on the fact that Jones failed a drug test for cocaine prior to his fight with Daniel Cormier in January. After that incident, Jones spent a single night in rehab. However, there were drugs and drug paraphernalia found in Jones rental car after Sunday's crash: marijuana, and a glass pipe. While marijuana is now legal in several states and less of a concern than it once was overall, it remains banned by every athletic commission that oversees MMA, and its presence on a drug test could lead to a failure for Jones (when, ironically, cocaine did not). Beyond that, he could still be charged with it in New Mexico.
