The most bizarre aspect of the case so far is that Jones fled on foot after the accident, reportedly hopping a fence in the process - but returned to the vehicle before completely leaving the area to retrieve a quantity of cash he had left behind in the car. Yet despite returning, he left behind a pipe, marijuana, and paperwork that included his name and references to his occupation. This paperwork included the Enterprise car rental agreement.
