UFC: Ranking George St. Pierre's 12 Title Fight Wins

5. GSP vs. Carlos Condit

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUfma_JCQGk Carlos Condit, the Natural Born Killer, marked one of the toughest tests for GSP in the octagon. Not only is Condit a legit superstar (though he has struggled of late) capable of finishing the best fighters in the welterweight division, GSP was coming off a long layoff due to an ACL tear that required surgery. The big question: would GSP be as explosive with his takedowns as he had been. With wrestling such a huge part of the champ's game, would he be the same? We got the answer in November 2012. Early in the fight, Condit scored a knockdown with a headkick that stunned the crowd in Montreal, and gave the champ his first real taste of adversity inside the octagon in ages. GSP clutched blinding for Condit's leg, but managed to recover, and went on to use his wrestling to take Condit down and bloody him badly with strong ground and pound. Both men were beat up in the fight, and this was probably the last great fight of GSP's career, coming a year before his eventual departure from the sport.
