City Crush Sorry Magpies Manuel Pellegrini got his Manchester City managerial career off to a flyer as his side demolished a very timid looking Newcastle United. The Citizens were 2-0 up within half an hour and rounded off their stunning display with two further goals in the second-half. To make things worse for the Toon Army, defender Steven Taylor was given a straight red card for violent conduct at the start of the second half. David Silva opened the scoring with only six minutes on the clock and Sergio Aguero extended the lead 16 minutes later as he fired into the far right hand corner with style. After Taylor had appeared to hit Aguero in the back of the head at the start of the second-period, Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri both scored to extend the impressive victory.
