West Ham: 10 Reasons Andy Carroll Has Been A Waste Of Money

6. He Doesn't Score Goals

As previously mentioned about his presence for not creating goals for his team to be successful, Andy Carroll has not been very successful in front of goal in his own right. Carroll has played a total of 140 Premier League games and only has 34 goals to his name in that time. This means that he has a goal ratio of a goal every 4.12 games for his Premier League career, which would not worry any Premier League defence that he comes up against, unless you are Swansea who he has 4 goals in 6 games against. His record at West Ham is not much better as he has only managed to score 14 league goals in in 53 games, which is only slightly better than his career goal ratio at a goal every 3.79 games. For a striker like Carroll, at a team like West Ham who often have a lot of set piece opportunities for him to attack, his record in front of goal is not good at all.
