What does Jack Rodwell do? It's a genuine question, but there's no answer to it apart from a shrug of the shoulders. When the average Jack Colback packed his bags, Rodwell looked like the perfect player to slot in alongside Larsson and Cattermole. They are both dogged, hard-working midfielders, and Rodwell was picked out as the box-to-box midfielder. Sunderland fans wanted him to use his size and power to maraud through the middle, arrive on the edge of the box, and even drill some shots in. We're at the end of the season now, and fans are still waiting to see anything from him. When he's not injured, he's ambling around the midfield being put to shame by the hard-workers around him. He doesn't get stuck in, nor does he grab any game by the scruff of the neck, leaving fans wondering why the club shelled out so much to replace Colback with a lesser model.
