A man that should be nowhere near the first XI of a Premier League team. But a man that is, thanks to nothing more than the stringent ways Mike Ashley likes to run his football club. They say God loves a trier and there is no doubting that Mike is one of them, but watching him struggle week in and week out has been painful, especially over the last two seasons. Some of his defending has opened that part of your brain that wants to have a look at the aftermath of a car crash on the A1. He simply isn't a Premier League player. Never was. Never will be. Oh, and he got himself sent off on purpose at Leicester last month of course... (Needless to say that isn't true.) It speaks volumes that two Newcastle defenders have made this team instead of a group of Sunderland players who have lost an league game 8-0 and shipped four at home to a struggling Aston Villa and ALAN PARDEW's Crystal Palace. Willo and Colo have been THAT bad.
