Why Arsenal's World Cup Record Just Got Broken
1. Fabian Delph (England)
Twelve months ago, the idea of Fabian Delph heading to the World Cup seemed as likely as Kim Jong-un stepping foot in South Korea to meet his equivalent across the border. Both actually happened, but we're still reeling from the former. The ex-Leeds man seemed destined for pastures decidedly more mid-table, but has been reborn as a left-back under Pep Guardiola.
Delph was eligible to play for Guyana through his ancestry, opting instead for England presumably because it offered him a better chance of success. That's what he thinks.
