Versatile Brazil full-back Danilo arrived at the Etihad in a £26.5 million deal, after two seasons at Real Madrid where his talents were largely under-utilised. The heavily-tattooed defender hails from the rural hinterland of Bicas - a village with a population of just 15,000 people.

It goes without saying that his World Cup appearance will almost certainly be commemorated with, if not a statue, at least a nice plaque.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
