10 Greatest Star Trek Convention Moments

6. Let's Make It An Anniversary We'll Never Forget!

The cast of Star Trek: Voyager have taken to the stage in various combinations over the years, but for the 20th anniversary of the start of their 70,000 lightyear hop across the galaxy, all the intrepid actors gathered together for the first time (less Jennifer Lien) at a Star Trek Las Vegas Convention. If the 2015 panel was any reflection, and certain tensions on set are well known by now, the journey home was filled with fun. What's more, the Red-headed Kate Mulgrew AND the ever-glorious Jeri Ryan were on stage, seated serenely side by side.

The entire reunion was filled with riotous laughter and running gags. Near the beginning, one fan from New Zealand asked if Robert Beltran would take his shirt off. He naturally didn't oblige, but the idea was planted. When Beltran further joked, "I think everyone should take their shirt off," Mulgrew replied, "Let's make it an anniversary we'll never forget!" Completing the gang's comedic flights of fancy, Ethan Phillips claimed, "Tim [Russ] told me, and this is true, that he based a lot of his character on a 2 by 4" and that "Avery [Brooks] and [he] were lovers for years".

Later, Mulgrew called having the lizard babies "the most erotic moment in the history of Star Trek," and, upon Ryan's request, Russ, Beltran, Garrett Wang, and Robert Duncan McNeill reprised a round of the Riverdance they had flatly refused to stop doing on set despite a slew of exasperated directors.
