10 Most Satisfying Character-Arcs In Star Trek

3. Benjamin Sisko

Seven of Nine Jeri Ryan Star Trek Picard
CBS Media Ventures / Paramount Pictures

Ben Sisko has a bit of an advantage on this list, seeing as his character arc was literally determined by The Prophets since his birth.

He was destined to become The Emissary of The Prophets, a role he initially rejected, but reluctantly grew to accept. When the wormhole was discovered and the Bajorans were reunited with their gods, Sisko became a key figure in their society.

The Dominion War brought Sisko into numerous situations that tested his moral code. He rendered a Maquis planet uninhabitable. He tricked the Romulans into joining the war. He convinced the Bajorans not to join the Federation to protect them. He viewed all of these acts as necessary, but they still weighed heavily on his conscience.

When the war ended, Sisko joined with The Prophets in the Celestial Temple, and no one knows if we'll ever see him again.
