10 "No Body, No Death" Cases In Star Trek

5. Saavik

Robin Curtis wasn't alone in lamenting the rather sudden departure of Saavik in Star Trek IV: The One With The Whales. Despite the character's large part in both preceding films, she simply stays behind on Vulcan while the rest of the crew heads toward Earth.

One hundred or so years isn't as heavy on a Vulcan as it would be for a human, so Saavik may still be alive and well by the early 25th Century. The Titan-A had a shuttle that bore her name, honouring the fact that Captain Saavik took command of her USS Titan in the 2290s.

Both Spock and Sarek were active in the 2360s and beyond, both of whom were older than Saavik, so it is unlikely that she wasn't still alive. She may even have still been in Starfleet (although we do hope she had retired and was enjoying her life of prayer and meditation!)

As it stands, Saavik has not canonically died in Star Trek, and therefore could appear in any of the series set in The Next Generation era and beyond.
