10 "No Body, No Death" Cases In Star Trek

4. Elnor

Saved by the tweet!

Elnor was introduced in the first season of Star Trek: Picard, and was the optimistic Romulan who quickly developed a deep connection with Raffi. His death (for a while) in the second season haunted her, so his return in Farewell gave us a truly heartwarming moment.

And then his ship was destroyed on Frontier Day.

Elnor was posted to the USS Excelsior, which in turn was destroyed by Borg-occupied Starfleet ships. Elnor had not appeared in the third season at all, so it seemed a little sad that the character would be written off so harshly. Thankfully, showrunner Terry Matalas stepped in to save the day and save the character.

He tweeted:

Elnor was not on the Excelsior.

Well thank goodness for that! Perhaps one day we will see the character revisited. There is a tale to be told of the ground war on Frontier Day - it is perhaps a little too much to hope that those Borgified officers didn't make it down to the planet (there surely were many already on the surface when the signal was sent!).

Can't we all imagine Elnor leading a group of officers into battle? We really hope that those poor assimlated souls chose to live that day.
