6. Fleeting

How can there not be a mention of starships?

Legacy has a fleet just set and ready to go. As part of the promotion for Picard there were a series of stills and graphics produced featuring the range of Starfleet vessels that were barely glimpsed as part of the celebratory sortie in Vox.

Excelsior Class, the return of the Stargazer, the Odyssey Class, Luna Class and many more. The work has already been done and the universe building is well under way. Ships, like them or adore them, make up a substantial chunk of the very feel of the Star Trek universe. For Legacy there is already the natural progression of design in the form of the Constitution III Class and the scene-stealing USS Intrepid. Legacy would be further canvas to explore the designs of Online onscreen such as the Chimera Class and the teased Pathfinder design aka Voyager-B.

Fans might even welcome back the Inquiry Class in its upgraded form, maybe even in its original shape. Legacy may require digging out some of the classic designs, another trip to the fleet museum and finally working out just why the TNG crew couldn't use the Enterprise-E...!

The Fleet Museum too has a wealth of ships waiting to be seen again - especially that NX-01 refit!

A Star Trek fan from birth, I love to dive into every aspect of the franchise in front and behind the screen. There's something here that's kept me interested for the best part of four decades! Now I'm getting back into writing and using Star Trek as my first line of literary attack. If I'm not here on WhatCulture then you're more than welcome to come and take a look at my blog, Some Kind of Star Trek at http://SKoST.co.uk or maybe follow me on Twitter as @TheWarpCore. Sometimes I force myself not to talk about Star Trek.
