10 Ships We Need To See In Star Trek: Legacy

3. Voyager-B

Thanks to the excellent Twovix of Lower Decks season four fame, fans now know that the USS Voyager became a museum piece on Earth before making its final journey to the Fleet Museum. Whether or not those mannequins of the crew are still in place at Athan Prime is to be confirmed.

But this entry isn't about that ship but one of its illustrious successors. Discovery has teased the lineage with the Voyager-J in the 32nd Century. Prodigy will feature the Lamarr Class Voyager-A. Graphics used in the third season of Picard indicated that by the time of that series, a Pathfinder Class USS Voyager NCC-74656-B would already be in service.

This does suggest a rather short shelf life for the Voyager-A and the appearance of the third such named starship might also help viewers understand what happened to its predecessor. Star Trek Online fans will also be familiar with the Pathfinder design since it has been in the game for years and is a distinct derivative of the Intrepid Class.

The ship is designed with the exploration of the Delta Quadrant in mind and carries much of the technology that Voyager itself tested and utilised during her time stranded away from the Federation.

A Star Trek fan from birth, I love to dive into every aspect of the franchise in front and behind the screen. There's something here that's kept me interested for the best part of four decades! Now I'm getting back into writing and using Star Trek as my first line of literary attack. If I'm not here on WhatCulture then you're more than welcome to come and take a look at my blog, Some Kind of Star Trek at http://SKoST.co.uk or maybe follow me on Twitter as @TheWarpCore. Sometimes I force myself not to talk about Star Trek.
