10 80s TV Shows We Want To See Revived

1. The Wonder Years

Focused around the coming of age tale of Kevin Arnold and his soul mate, Winnie Cooper, The Wonder Years was the definitive drama and sometimes comedy of the late 80s and early 90s. In a way, most people would probably want to leave this unforgettable classic alone, as it provided one of the greatest series finales of all time. Set in the late 60s and early 70s (exactly 20 years before the year of each season), the show featured a narrator as the older Kevin, a plot device that would eventually be replicated by How I Met Your Mother. Known for pushing the boundaries of other shows during the time, The Wonder Years won multiple Emmies and other honours throughout its 5-year run. WHY WE WANT IT BACK The story of Kevin Arnold and Winnie Cooper is over, but that doesn't mean there aren't more stories to tell. A new Wonder Years could revisit the 80s and 90s in the same way that the original brought us back to the 60s and 70s. Appealing to both young and old audiences, a show like this has rarely been done successfully in recent years. When was the last time a show had heart like The Wonder Years? We've been waiting long enough. If I forgot any shows from the Reagan years that deserve another shot, please let me know what I missed in the comments.
