6. Mila Kunis - That 70s Show
This is more to do with an actor progressing with their career more than it is to do with an actor slumming it in TV, but stay with me. That 70s Show wasn't all that long ago and was quite popular when it came out in 1998. It featured a youngish Mila Kunis as an uppity daddy's girl type, hanging out with other stereotypes of that era. The show was okay, but only okay in the sense that it's okay to not wear trousers just because you're home alone. But after That 70s Show, Mila started turning up in some big things, from the dark and psychologically intense Black Swan to the amusing and sexually unashamed Ted. Her character in That 70s Show was extremely one dimensional (as were the other characters), but Mila has shown us that she can do far more than that. Take the very funny Forgetting Sarah Marshall for instance; in that she played a likeable and realistic love interest for Jason Segel - leagues away from Jackie Burkhart in That 70s Show. Ashton Kutcher was also in that programme, but we've already covered him. Yes, I know she's in Family Guy as well, but that doesn't really apply here.
