10 Actors Pissed Off By Their TV Character Deaths

4. Lance Reddick (Matthew Abaddon) - Lost

The brilliant Lance Reddick, best known for his roles as Cedric Daniels on The Wire and Charon in the John Wick franchise, joined Lost in 2008 as the mysterious Matthew Abaddon.

Though ultimately only appearing in four episodes, Abaddon was shown to have crucial links to several of the show's major characters, especially John Locke (Terry O'Quinn) and Hurley (Jorge Garcia), before being suddenly shot dead by Benjamin Linus (Michael Emerson) mid-way through season five.

For a character actor as talented as Reddick to receive such a nothing treatment on the show irked a lot of fans, as well as the performer himself, who was expecting to become a series regular in the fifth season:

"If I think about it too much, I'll get pissed off. When I was cast on Fringe [also created by J.J. Abrams], I was told that I'd be able to continue recurring on Lost. And then, the very first episode that I did on Lost in the middle of Fringe season one - they killed me. So, that was annoying. Don't get me wrong, it was a great episodeā€¦But, it was like, what the f**k, guys?"

What a waste.
