If Varys being visibly pissed off by his underwhelming demise wasn't bad enough, Lena Headey also held little back when discussing the death of her character Cersei Lannister.

Cersei is killed in the series' penultimate episode when the Red Keep collapses on her and her brother Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau).

Many fans were upset that Cersei, one of the series' most important and well-crafted characters, spent so much of the final season standing around doing little, only to be killed without putting up any sort of fight. This was echoed by Headey:

"I will say, I wanted a better death. Obviously, you dream of your death. You could go in any way on that show. So I was kind of gutted... I wanted her to have some big piece or fight with somebody."

Though clearly frustrated with Cersei's oddly flat ending, she was at least pragmatic enough to appreciate the enormous pressure writers David Benioff and D. B. Weiss were under to wrap the series up:

"I just think they couldn’t have pleased everyone. No matter what they did, I think there was going to be some big comedown from the climb."
