Courteney Cox plays Jerry's girlfriend, Meryl, in Season 5 Episode 17, "The Wife". They pretend to be married so that she can get his 25% family discount at a dry cleaners. Though they keep pretending outside of the dry cleaners too, until one day Meryl discover another woman's lingerie among Jerry's dry cleaning. She accuses him of letting other women use the discount and he asks for a "divorce", because he's met someone else who needs the discount more.
Cox got hugely famous for playing Monica in Friends, which premiered the same year that she appeared in Seinfeld. After Friends she went on to star in and produce Cougar Town.
