10 Actors Who Have Been On Both Star Trek And Stargate

4. Armin Shimerman

It's actually pretty difficult to spot Quark outside of Star Trek. Not because Armin Shimerman's performances aren't always memorable, but because the Ferengi prosthetics that he wore across Deep Space Nine's run alter his look so dramatically that he's virtually unrecognisable without them. Still though, he found enough time to pop a bush on his head for SG-1's first season episode 'The Nox'.

Arriving on the planet Gaia to try and capture a creature that can apparently turn itself invisible (you can hear the Department of Defence audibly licking their lips the practical implications of that) Carter, Jackson, and O'Neill are promptly killed by Apophis and his guards. Why the show chose to end after only 8 episodes with its entire principal cast killed in the most un-heroic circumstances remains one of TV's greatest mysteries to this day, but here we are.

No, only kidding. The trio are promptly resurrected by a mysterious race known as The Nox, with Quark front and centre of their tribe. Various shenanigans ensue, with the Nox first stopping SG-1 from killing Apophis himself, before revealing they actually live in a magical floating cloud city and their feral aesthetic is purely to hide how advanced they really are. They bid the 'hoo-mons' farewell, and are never seen or heard from again.

Still bitter that Star Trek Enterprise got canned and almost old enough to angrily tell the kids to 'Get Off My Lawn!'
