10 Actors Who Suffered The Most After Game Of Thrones
8. Iwan Rheon
Welsh actor Iwan Rheon is best known for playing the most violent, cruel, and psychopathic character in the show: Ramsay Bolton. Bastard son of Roose Bolton, Ramsay is best known as a murderer and torturer who brutalized Theon for months on end and sent his severed member to his father in series three.
However, Rheon has gone on record saying that he absolutely loathed the character of Ramsay. In an interview with GQ, Rheon stated: “I'm gonna miss being part of the show. Massively. But I don't I feel like I’m going to miss Ramsay. I feel like he had his lark, and it was just that he died. And I think it was the right thing for the show moving forward.” Furthermore, in an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Ramsay told presenter Kate Garraway: “He wasn’t a very nice young man. I’m kind of glad to put him behind me now.”
With the many difficult scenes that Rheon had to film, such as the wedding night assualt of Sansa Stark, it meant that the actor had to seriously detach himself mentally. Luckily, Rheon was able to do that, but still goes on record saying that those scenes were absolutely horrible to film. In the end, he’s happy that Ramsay died in such a satisfying way, and he feels much better leaving it all behind because playing the character mentally disturbed him.
