10 Actors Who Suffered The Most After Game Of Thrones
4. Jason Momoa
In its early tenure, Game Of Thrones made a grand star out of Hawaiian actor Jason Momoa. Since starring as nomadic horselord Khal Drogo in the show’s first season, Momoa has since gone on to secure prominent roles in films such as Aquaman, Justice League and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.
However, things could have been very different for Momoa as after his character was killed off, it left Momoa in a bad place. Because he was killed off before the show reached the peak of its success, it meant that the paychecks he received were very low in comparison to his co-stars who stayed on series after series. This left Momoa in a very poor state where he found himself desperate for money. In an interview with InStyle, he stated: “I mean, we were starving after Game of Thrones. I couldn’t get work. It’s very challenging when you have babies and you’re completely in debt.”
Luckily
Momoa’s popularity started to pick up soon after. His popularity and Adonis-like body structure
secured him the coveted role of Aquaman in the Justice League movie, leading to a standalone Aquaman movie.
