10 Actors Who Suffered The Most After Game Of Thrones
3. Isaac Hempstead-Wright
Isaac Hempstead-Wright played one of most sympathetic characters of Game Of Thrones: young Bran Stark. His character is noteworthy for being the first character to fall victim to Lannister treachery: when he catches incestuous couple Jaime and his sister Cersei in a compromising situation, he is thrown from the tower to die. Despite this start, however, Bran survived until the finale where he was crowned the new king of Westeros (albeit to a lot of fan backlash).
Hempstead-Wright tried to move on from the show once it was all done and dusted, and he enrolled at Birmingham University in 2017. However, his fame had turned that next step into a nightmare. Attention from other students who recognized him from the popular TV show had made his life a living hell. They harassed him by tracking down his address and tailing him wherever he went. In an interview with Esquire he said: "I knew people would be excited, and there'd be a bit of fuss. But I could not anticipate the chaos."
As a result, Hempstead-Wright dropped out of Birmingham University in order to escape the pressure and continue on his acting endeavors. This didn’t last for long, however, as he returned to University in 2019 to study neuroscience at University College London with a hope to continue his acting career on the side.
