10 Actors You Didn't Know Were In Star Trek Twice

5. Carolyn Seymour

Quark Star Trek
Paramount

Cult actress Seymour is best known for playing Toreth in Face of the Enemy, one of the best Deanna Troi episodes in TNG. Toreth was a driven and vengeful Romulan officer who clashed with Troi, who was undercover as a Romulan intelligence officer. Toward the end of Face of the Enemy, Toreth attempted to crash her Romulan Warbird into the Enterprise before eventually being foiled by Troi.

This militaristic role for Seymour was miles away from Mrs. Templeton, the part she would play in two episodes of Star Trek: Voyager. Templeton is a Mrs Danvers figure in one of Captain Janeway's holonovels, who tends the house of Lord Burleigh. Janeway is essentially playing the role of Mrs De Winter in this version of Daphne Du Maurier's novel Rebecca but is called away to deal with an issue on the Voyager bridge.

In a later episode, Templeton returns to threaten Janeway when she appears to escape the Holodeck and threaten the life of the captain. Thankfully, it's not a Holodeck malfunction and is, instead, the product of a telepathic lifeform called the Bothan, who uses hallucinations to destroy intruders.
