10 Adult Animated Comedies To Try After Bojack Horseman

2. Clerks: The Animated Series (2000)

Clerks is a true cult classic. With his quick-witted and infectious pop-culture laced dialogue, Kevin Smith spoke directly to a generation of young slackers and introduced Jay and Silent Bob to the world at large (for better or for worse).

Sometime in the years that followed, a single season of Clerks: The Animated Series was produced, barely aired and promptly cancelled. No one saw it and no one cared... But they should have because Clerks: The Animated Series, much like most of Smith's early work, is a wonderfully written and properly hilarious show.

If you're a fan of Smith's work, especially the earlier stuff before he arguably went off the rails, then Clerks: TAS is definitely worth a shot.
