10 Annoying New TV Characters Only Added To Boost Ratings

If you haven't watched The Fairly OddParents since you were a kid, you might be surprised to learn that they've since added a new character named Poof who is Cosmo and Wanda's son. Yes, Timmy's fairy godparents had a kid. Poof was seemingly added to, once again, make the show more adorable and appealing to younger kids as the first generation of viewers was growing out of the series. 

Poof just takes over the whole damn show, and from the introduction, every episode from then on has something to do with Poof. It really feels like the writers genuinely got bored making The Fairly OddParents and wanted to make a new show about a child fairy. What was once a cartoon about Timmy making a wish that gets him in trouble became a show where Poof gets in trouble and Cosmo, Wanda and Timmy have to save him.

Was that enough? Of course not. There's also Sparky, a magical talking dog added in Season 9. Nickelodeon hyped up an episode called Fairly OddPet where they introduced an incredibly stupid dog that can speak and has a magic tail because of course he does. Now, Nick has just recently announced its adding another new character for Season 10, an adorable little girl named Chloe who will surely be an amazing addition and not yet another annoying gimmick.
