10 Annoying New TV Characters Only Added To Boost Ratings

3. Nicky And Alex - Full House

With Full House, you get two Cousin Olivers for the price of one, appropriate for a show that would go above and beyond to be absolutely terrible. Yet again, the only reason Nicky and Alex even exist is because Michelle was getting older, and it wouldn't be Full House without a kid doing something adorable and the audience reacting.

At least this was a case of characters actually giving birth rather than kids popping in out of nowhere, but either way, this was such a clear example of trying to give a show some extra cute points in its older years. All they really do is sit there and be kids, often dressed in some wacky outfit that might correspond with what Uncle Jesse has on. They aren't really characters, as least as far as anyone is a character on this show, but they sure are little kids, huh? If you were hoping you'd be able to tell them apart, good luck, because even huge Full House fanatics - if those exist - probably couldn't remember which is which.

Nicky and Alex didn't wreck the show, though; they were added in Season 5, and the series would go on to have a full eight seasons. Then again, Full House was usually so cringeworthy anyway, who knows what it would take to actually sink it.
