10 Arrowverse Villains Who Were Actually Heroes

8. Nyssa Al Ghul

Arrow Slade Wilson Felicity Smoak
The CW

The younger daughter of Ras al Ghul, Nyssa Raatko did not enjoy as normal childhood as most children; an expected outcome when your father is the head of the League of Assassins.

Nyssa was trained in the ways of the League and, after her older sister Talia left the group to create her own path, Nyssa was chosen as her father's next successor.

She later encountered a weakened Sara Lance and brought her to the League, where Sara trained as an assassin and later began a relationship with the younger al Ghul sister.

This relationship was short-lived due to Sara's abandonment of the League and return to Star City, and this led to Nyssa and Oliver Queen crossing paths and clashing - only abandoning the fight due to Sara's pleas.

Nyssa's time in the Arrowverse has been defined by her torn allegiances to her father and the League, as well as her desire to see justice prevail, which often put her on the same side with Oliver and Sara. She even teamed up with Team Arrow on several occasions and sought to undo the damage caused by her family and the League.
