The Laurel Lance of Earth-2 was a far cry from her more heroic Earth-1 counterpart.

Earth-2 Laurel turned towards a life of villainy after acquiring her abilities, as well as due to the trauma caused by the deaths of her lover and father. Her arc from metahuman enforcer, to Star City criminal, to reformed hero and district attorney was compelling to watch, and she was a perfect foil to the Earth-1 Laurel Lance.

This Earth-2 Laurel was key in Hunter Zolomon's plans to take over Earth-1, as well as Adrian Chase's plans to destabilize Oliver Queen and Team Arrow by pretending to be her deceased counterpart. Her stints under Cayden James and Ricardo Diaz reinforced the idea that Laurel was susceptible to manipulation by authority figures due to a lack of parental guidance in her formative years.

Fortunately, Laurel became aware of this and sought to make amends with Team Arrow (though not without struggle) and even took on her doppelganger's role as district attorney. Her road to redemption was not easy, but was eventually impactful enough to earn the trust of the heroes.
