10 Awesome Easter Eggs Hidden In TV Opening Titles

1. Those '90s Cars - That '70s Show

That '70s Show boasts one of the most creative and memorable title sequences of any sitcom in history, focusing on the cast as they perform a singalong to the series' title theme while driving around in Eric's (Topher Grace) car.

Despite the show obviously being set during the 1970s, the rear-projected footage of traffic in the background hilariously features what is quite clearly the distinctive Ford Explorer, a vehicle which wasn't first manufactured until 1990. See it for yourself at the 0:24 mark below.

While you could argue that this was a legitimate mistake, it feels a bit too obvious to be a genuine gaffe, especially given that several other cars in the intro are also clearly from the '90s.

As such, we're going to give the production the benefit of the doubt and credit it as an Easter egg, because there's surely no chance the crew went out and shot a background plate in the late '90s and genuinely thought it would look period-accurate to the '70s, right?

Then again, it's possible they just never banked on the advent of HD television and figured nobody would ever notice.
