10 Awesome Moments That Made Better Call Saul Unmissable

4. Chuck Collects The Local Newspaper

One of the most interesting characters to have been introduced in Better Call Saul is Jimmy McGill's brother, Chuck, played by the great comedian Michael McKean, best known for his involvement in mockumentaries such as This Is Spinal Tap and A Mighty Wind. While Chuck used to work at the offices of HHM and remains a partner, an onset of electromagnetic hypersensitivity means that he's largely house-bound and unable to go near anything which emits an electromagnetic field. When Jimmy deliberately gets rid of his copy of the local newspaper featuring his billboard scam on the front page it's up to Chuck to brave the sun outside so he can steal a neighbour's copy. What makes the scene great is how the direction emphasises Chuck's point of view with oppressive sound design and jarring editing, only to undercut it all at the very end by showing us his neighbour's perspective as he runs comically away from her house, wrapped in tin foil clutching at the newspaper.
