10 Awesome Sci-Fi TV Shows That Won't Return Until 2021
2. The Flash
Barry Allen's multiple showdowns with Bloodwork, Black Hole, Mirror Master and, oh yeah, the freakin' Crisis On Infinite Earths allowed The Flash to reclaim some of its former glory, as the now longest-running Arrowverse show finally found its footing again after some problematic seasons. And that's what makes it a shame that this was the one that had to be cut short by the current world events.
In spite of that, it delivered a surprisingly finale-like impromptu finale that set up some nice narratives for the beginning of Season 7, as Eva McCulloch's vengeful return will roll into next season. Yes, the show will be picking up where it left off, finishing the Season 6 story within the first couple of episodes - the first of which was already 90% finished - before moving onto the originally-planned seventh season narratives.
The Flash usually films in Vancouver throughout the summer so that it can begin airing new episodes in October, but The CW recently confirmed that won't be the case this year as the Scarlet Speedster's premiere will take place in January 2021 instead. This will allow the cast and crew time to get back to work whenever it's safe and ultimately cover any further delays they might face.
