1. The Walking Dead
It's almost time for the biggest show on TV to come back, and it has a potentially series defining moment to bring with it. After a stellar back-half to Season 6, The Walking Dead introduced its biggest villain - Negan - but then risked undoing all of the hard work.
The cliffhanger ending, with the camera not showing who was on the receiving end of Lucille, has received no end of criticism from fans and critics alike, meaning that the series really needs to deliver in the Season 7 premiere. It doesn't matter what else happens in the episode, if the 'big death' fails to at least slightly satisfy the fans, the new year will be getting off to a terrible start. With Rick and Carl safe, there's really around five characters who'd justify the death and the cliffhanger, so if it's not one of them (for the record: Daryl, Maggie, Michonne, Abraham, Glenn) then expect the sh*t to hit the fan, and the fans to lose their sh*t.
