10. DeDe Brings Claire's Ex-Boyfriend To Dinner
Episode: Princess Party What happens to the woman you divorce for a much younger and prettier woman? You create DeDe, a growing emotional wreck that has yet to accept the change in her life. Probably placed as one of TV's worst mothers since Lucille Bluth in Arrested Development, DeDe could possibly snap at any moment as she goes out of her way to insult her daughter, Claire, and get back at Gloria for marrying her ex-husband, Jay. Have you ever been forced to go into someone else's home without the host being told you were arriving? Well how about someone inviting a person you don't like over to your home without letting you know? How about that person being an ex-boyfriend your mother invited, despite you being married and with three kids, just so she could make you feel uncomfortable and make you look bad in front of your kids? Well that is what DeDe did to her daughter Claire as she invited Robby, Claire's ex, to family dinner unexpectedly. Not only was it rude and disrespectful but it had to be weird for everyone involved when the loser arrived, making moves on Claire as he sets a bad influence for her kids, and all in front of her husband Phil. In the end it turns out DeDe invited Robby as a date to her granddaughter's birthday party to make Jay jealous which is an entirely awkward situation on its own. But we are just getting started.
