10 Bad Seasons Of Otherwise Great TV Shows

1. Arrested Development - Season 4

Scrubs Season 9
Fox

Be careful what you wish for. Everyone wanted more Arrested Development after the show's cancellation in 2006, and seven years later, the series was revived on Netflix. Great, right?

Well, although Season 4 wasn't a complete waste, the structure of the new season was hugely disappointing. For Season 4, just about every episode is focused on one character individually. This was an interesting idea, but the problem is that Arrested Development was always great as an ensemble show, with all of these people bouncing jokes off each other.

Viewers barely get any of that in the fourth season, mostly due to the actors' conflicting schedules. All of these comedians had gotten so busy since the show ended that it became impossible to get them all in the same room together. That was such a big part of why Arrested Development was great, though, so if they couldn't work out the schedules, they honestly shouldn't have even bothered.

With the news that the show plans to produce more episodes sometime next year, let's just hope they can work the scheduling issues out and actually have the Bluth family together for much of the season. At the moment, Season 4 just feels like a weird, failed experiment in the midst of an amazing series.
