A brilliant exercise in building tension, Reprise created an unforgettable atmosphere as Angel discovered that a visitation from one of Wolfram and Hart's Senior Partners was imminent. The terror was palpable as the lawyers desperately tried to guarantee their survival through last minute acts of evil and sought to discover their fates at Caritas.

Reprise built to an incredible crescendo, with Angel successfully attacking the Senior Partner and preparing to descend into their hellish "Home Office" in a suicidal mission to destroy Wolfram and Hart.

However, things weren't as they seemed. Greeted by an undead Holland Manners, Angel discovered that the "Home Office" was in fact our world in a bleakly intelligent twist, as it was revealed that the Senior Partners could never be vanquished thanks to the evil in humanity.

Already prepared to die thanks to the suffering that Wolfram and Hart had put him through, learning that he would never be able to achieve vengeance or destroy the powers of evil finally pushed Angel to despair. Concluding with Cordelia heading into a trap, Kate attempting suicide and Angel risking his soul with Darla, Reprise was one of the series' darkest, most compelling episodes.
