10 Best Animated TV Shows Of The 1990s

9. Beavis And Butt-Head

The Simpsons A Complete Guide To our Favorite Family
MTV

Beavis and Butt-Head is quintessentially nineties, but somehow in the best possible way.

This was Mike Judge’s first full length animation series, which came about after the titular characters featured in a short film of Judge’s called Frog Baseball. The MTV series Beavis and Butt-Head was practically Mike’s baby as he voiced near enough all of the characters and wrote and directed the majority of the episodes.

The show focuses on two empty-headed teenagers with no aspirations or morals in life who spend their time glued to the television, and occasionally doing something senseless out of boredom. It captured the lifestyle of the average teenage boy, for however basic it may be.

It was met with mixed reviews, depending on how you felt about its crude humour and views on society, but in the grand scheme of things, Beavis and Butt-Head is not meant to be taken so seriously. It's light-hearted, comical and very rewatchable.
