Eager to brush up before the finale? Here's where to start...

Star Wars The Clone Wars Darth Maul
Lucasfilm

Whether you have never seen the series, or you're a veteran Clone Wars fan, you have undoubtedly heard that the series has returned on Disney Plus. Debuting back in 2008 as an odd animated film, the series was an introduction to many fans of Star Wars today, along with quenching the thirst of the franchise's devoted followers in the days before Disney acquired Lucasfilm.

With six seasons preceding the newly released seventh, it can be pretty overwhelming to get through especially when there are so many lists and orders out there that advise which arcs and episodes to watch.

Thankfully we are here to tell you which episodes show off the best of this groundbreaking show, acting as great introductions or refreshers for fans everywhere. With the final season dealing with fan favourites Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi, Darth Maul, and the Mandalorians, these are the arcs essential to view before witnessing the epic finale, best informing you for the story up ahead.

10. Return To Geonosis

Lucasfilm

Starting this list off with one of the most action-packed arcs, the episodes Landing at Point Rain, Weapons Factory, Legacy of Terror, and Brain Invaders are a fantastic introduction to the series. This arc drops you off near the beginning of season two with many elements that'll be important going forward.

We're given a familiar location introduced in Episode Two: Attack of the Clones, along with many Jedi you will have seen in small roles throughout the prequels. Landing at Point Rain and Weapons Factory show off the impressive action the Clone Wars can pull off, along with visuals and sound effects that hold no punches in selling the concept of a real war.

We get to see Ahsoka's young and plucky attitude, along with her friendship with fellow Padawan - Barriss Offee. From great moments such as Jedi Master Mundi ordering his troops to "bring in the flamethrowers" to the complete 360 which sees the arc becoming a zombie horror (yeah), the Geonosis arc is the perfect depiction of the variety and mayhem The Clone Wars can bring.
